Who are Pioneer Services?

After 87 years of fantastic service, we are sad to see that Pioneer Services, also known as Pioneer Military Loans, has shut down. They were a company that provided loans to active-duty members of the united states military. They offered loans to all branches of the military and also help veterans acquire loans as well. Pioneer Services also donated to many charities and military programs. The company won many awards including “Best Website – Banking and Financial Services” in the year 2013 and 2014.

Who was Pioneer Services owned by?

They were owned by MidCountry Bank a privately held, full-service community bank that began operations in 2003, retaining over $775 million in assets and deposits worth almost $570 million(These were the figures as at March 2019). This bank has over 13 branches located in Minnesota and another office located in Las Vegas. The president and present CEO of MidCountry Bank is Steve Meads. They specialize in Commercial Banking, Mortgage, Business Banking, Finance and Insurance, Agriculture, Leasing, Investments, and Personal Banking.

Pioneer Services became an accredited division of MidCountry Bank in 2006 although Pioneer Services has been in existence since 1932. Eighty-two years of service to the American active-duty Military staff and retired Veterans.

As of July 31, 2019, Pioneer Services is no longer providing new loans and all existing loans have been purchased by Systems & Services Technologies Inc.

Are They Accepting New Applicants?

Pioneer Services who provided personal loans exclusively to members of the military will no longer be accepting new applications to offer loans to military personnel. They shut their doors on July 31st 2019 so no new loans were processed after that date. All loans existing prior to that date have been purchased by Systems & Services Technologies Inc. who is a Third-Party Servicing Company.

In 2020, Pioneer Services reemerged under the new company name, Pioneer Military Credit.

Why did Pioneer Services close down?

The Pioneer Services division closed down because its parent company, MidCountry Bank has made a deal selling this division to a holding company. Steve Meads says the deal will bring a lot of new opportunities to customers and team members of the organization. He says the company will now acquire a “committed source of local capital” and with the new “local relationships” the company has an opportunity to grow and expand in “market visibility and awareness.”

I have a loan with them, will I have to pay it back?

Military staff or veterans with loans are still required to pay back the loan they acquired. Pioneer Services may have closed down, but they sold their assets and loans to the investment holding company. The Systems & Services Technologies, Inc. (SST) has been servicing and emailing account information on how to pay back the loan to the email addresses used when taking the loan out. These emails contain information needed to set up personalized login information. Users who had authorized automatic withdrawals through ACH or allotment to pay back loans at Pioneer Services need not worry, the payment system information was transferred to the new system automatically.

Borrowers who used Western Union to make payments will now need to use the code city “SST” and code state of “MO” when sending new payments. Borrowers who would like to send a payment by mail will need to make payment payable to ‘Systems & Services Technologies, Inc.’ and mail the payment to the below address.
